The shop is located on the first floor of an alley, a little down from Gubeundari Station in Cheonho-dong, heading towards the Han River. The white-toned shop feels fresh. A long coffee bar spans the front, and several tables are arranged by the window. Wines are displayed on the inner wall, but I was told they are only for sale. The barista owner is there alone. I ordered a warm coffee made with Ethiopian Shimanda beans. The owner said it would take about 5 minutes. Smelling the ground beans, the aroma was delightful. The coffee is extracted using a bypass method, and it took time to slowly brew a small amount. With drip coffee, there’s also the pleasure of watching the barista's handiwork. Just as the coffee started brewing, a customer came in. They ordered an Iced Americano, but when the owner said they’d have to wait about 5 minutes, they just left. The owner said it was fine, but I felt a pang of regret. The drip coffee is also inexpensive; should I order another one? The owner's touch is meticulous. The owner is truly dedicated to drip coffee. The coffee arrived. I slowly savored it while chatting with the owner about various things. Just as the owner said, the warm coffee's aroma and flavor became more pronounced as I drank it. Like the warm coffee, this shop feels better and better the more I experience it. Today, I once again enjoyed a meticulously prepared coffee. Returnharu Coffee in Cheonho-dong is a place I want to visit again.
