The shop is located in front of Ttukseom Station Exit 1, a standalone building adorned with red bricks. The store itself is on the basement level, but with the first floor opened up, it offers a great sense of spaciousness. In the center, there's a square-shaped bar table, with regular tables to the left and a workspace to the right. The interior design is industrial. What's unusual is that the shop doesn't offer Wi-Fi, a silent recommendation to turn off your Wi-Fi. Blue Bottle, a multinational coffee shop, arrived in Korea in 2019. Since then, Seongsu-dong has become a hot spot, and Blue Bottle has served as a catalyst for an influx of foreign coffee shops. The shop is filled with many young baristas. For them, working here will be a career boost, much like working at Starbucks. There are two drip coffee options: a seasonal blend and a Vietnamese single origin. I ordered the blend. The dark coffee liquid, filling the drip pot, is serene. What defines the feeling of winter? Heaviness, coldness, serenity… and one more thing: warmth.
