The shop is on the second floor of a roadside building, on the road from Bulgwang Station to Dokbawi Station. The interior, likely an office before, feels open and spacious with no other structures besides a ceiling fan.
Many of the customers are young men and women.
The baristas are two young men, both owners. While there might be pros and cons to working together, I imagine it offers the advantage of generating and experimenting with more diverse ideas related to coffee.
I ordered a drip coffee made with their signature house blend. I heard the beans come from Coffee Place in Gyeongju.
A rich aroma lingered in the coffee glass. The taste was somewhat robust, characterized by a sweet flavor that emerged afterward.
Beyond the window facing the road, I could see the neighborhood shops, multi-family homes, and apartments of Bulgwang-dong. The silhouettes of passing vehicles occasionally reflected in the glass.
Bulgwang-dong may not be a young neighborhood, but Iroom Coffee Project is a young coffee shop, thanks to its young baristas and customers.
