Hyangmisa—is it the name of a bakery? Given the abundance of bakeries nearby, one might certainly think so.
Hyangmisa, I'm told, means 'fragrance and taste, and people.' As you approach the shop, a strong coffee aroma, befitting a roastery, fills the air. They're said to excel at pour-over.
They offer a wide variety of coffee beans, but 'Dan-a' is their standard. I ordered a latte with Dan-a.
The taste is indeed 'Dan-a' (elegant and refined). It's clean, and the latte art is impressive. The leaf count is high; it's delicate.
Since it's right next to Hwanglidan-gil, it's easy to get here if you're in the area. However, the actual sign is tiny, tucked beneath a gym sign, so look carefully. Perhaps it's quicker to spot the coffee shop by looking through its window.
